About us
Ababa Coffee was born from generations of dedication, patience, and respect for the land.
Our story begins many decades ago on our family farm in Southern part of Ethiopia. On a land that has been carefully cultivated and passed down from one generation to the next. Coffee has always been more than a crop for us. It is heritage. It is responsibility. It is identity.
For years, the beans grown on our land remained part of the local harvest, shared within the community and sold through traditional channels. Today, we are proud to be the first generation in our family to bring this coffee directly to the world market, Connecting our roots in Ethiopia to coffee lovers in The United Kingdom and beyond to the world.
Every bean we offer is genuinely and organically harvested, carefully cleaned, and selected with precision. From hand-picking ripe cherries under the Ethiopian sun, to washing, drying, sorting, exporting, roasting, and finally packaging the journey is long and demanding. It passes through many hardworking hands before it arrives at your door.
We honour that process. ![]()
We believe great coffee should carry a story, a real one. Not mass produced. Not anonymous. But traceable, personal, and built on trust.
Ababa is more than a name. It represents the head of the household a symbol of guidance, strength, and continuity across generations. That spirit is at the heart of everything we do.
From our family farm to your cup, thank you for becoming part of our story.
